Guys just want to appreciate the efforts by different members here. At least it gives a sense of support that you are not alone in this whole fiasco when you hear around you people getting their FP or EADs and you are left feeling frustrated and anxious.
This forum actually has become quite important and please keep on posting details and updates.

Hey J(erk) Thomas,
Shove your condescending advise to where the sun never shines. It is NONE of your BUSINESS to tell me or anyone what they should be doing. No wonder average americans have started hating people like you and want to drive you out of the country.
If you think that you can fool everyone all the time, you are sadly mistaken. Even by DOL estimates, there is 20% fraud with H1. The real figure could be a lot higher than that

Senator Grassley and Durbin wants Google and Yahoo to succeed in US. But they don't want Indian cyber-koolies like the body shops and TCS/INFY/Wipro to steal american jobs under the guise of globalization.
For all the geniuses out here, how many companies like Google or Microsoft or yahoo came out of India in the last 20 years? Yeah, that is what I thought too.. BIG ZERO. But if you read J(erk) Thomas' response, one would have thought that India is full of competitors for Microsoft and Google today :D :D :D

Everyone, Gandhigiri is a great idea. I had my skepticism initially but this is working great. Ignore cynics like Smitha. Just encourage more to send flowers.

worst case? yes.. it's mine..
My H1 revalidation appointment was on the 12-Dec. Visa was approved immediatly but haven't received the passport yet. I receive the same response when I call.. that its under PIMS verification. No ETA of when I can expect it to be done..
I had a H1 transfer to a new employer and 3 year extension happen at the same time. I am not sure what the problem is and what I can do. I am totally stressed out and really depressed ..
If someone has done something thats helped their case move along.. please PM me or reply to this post.. Thanks !

I went to infopass on Aug 31s1, when my date was about to be current.
IO told me preadjudicated and I should come back in 2-3 weeks if I dont hear anything.
So I went yeaterday. Same IO. Told me everything looks ok and case is being "moved" Apparently she saw something in the system and told me that on sep 16th, your case was "moved". Couldnt tell me moved where, but still in TSC.
Again told me to come back in 2-3 weeks to get status update.
WTF. Anyone else with similar expirience?

Do you know if WOM can be filed only when the PD is current. After reading this article i feel so.
PD has no effect on filing a civil action as visa bulleting is changing every month. My friend in Oregon got I-485 approval after filing Wom even though his PD is not current on the latest visa bulletin.

Intel Chairman Craig Barrett, appearing on a question-and-answer forum on FT.com, said a market-based approach to granting work visas should replace the current system, which sets numerical limits on such documents.
Several leaders of technology companies have made similar requests of U.S. officials, the Financial Times said Wednesday. The visa classification that allows foreign engineers and scientists to temporarily relocate to the United States has a limit of 65,000. Some 140,000 green cards, allowing permanent stays, are granted each year.
Barrett said the figures are too low, pointing out the work visa total has already been reached this fiscal year.
'These arbitrary caps undercut business' ability to hire and retain the number of highly educated people in the field where we need to maintain our leading position,' Barrett said on FT.com.
Barrett suggested, 'We should just staple a green card to every advanced degree granted to a foreign national from a U.S. university in science and engineering.'

This is what I did -
1. Had my lawyer followup with consulate -they respond quickly to that.
2. Letter from congressman - congressman called consulate and i got a written reply from congressman on status in less than a week
3. Email followup with consulate
4. Calls to DOS - have to be on hold for a bit though..
Interview - Jan 3; 221g (pink) Phd in bio; additional info submitted - Jan 7th; consulate sent info to DOS - Jan 14th; DOS clearance - Jan 31st. Visa issued - Feb 6th...

At first, I thought my friend was just scaring me by suggesting the senator/congressman route, but seeing your case now I feel foolish as I should've been doing this in early January. I will check my status tomorrow (monday) with the Delhi consulate once more, and then, if need be (fingers crossed), will talk to my boss in Houston about your suggestions regarding congressman's letter. By the way, what if I call DOS tomorrow and they say the I've been cleared, would it still make sense to have congressman approach them? Too many questions, I know, but I guess you know this feeling. i got my 'decision' email on 10th. But after that nothing. No CPO email/No welcome email/ No LUD.
I am hoping that they didn't let my case 'drop through cracks'. Considering USCIS's way of working I wouldn't be surprised. Will give a week or two more.

They have thier own of operation. My CPO status was registered on Aug 5th. I got CPO email the next day. Then on August 12 it went back to post decision activity. I got the approval or welcome mail (snail) on August 12th itself. After that there is not change or update. All we can do is to sit back and wait for little bit more.

If 44k is the available number for EB2 I & C then the PD will move upto Jun 2008 with out any doubt. Even with the porting of EB3 to EB2 is accounted for.
